Why are people always against the Italian team? They got to finals deserving it and what does generalizing about a race have anything to do with soccer????!!!!

Don't worry about the germans the only way they got into the World Cup this year was because they're the home team.Italia is Da Bomb. they deserved to win the World Cup the only reason germany gets into the World Cup is because they cheat. They have yet to learn that "Diving is for the swimming pool"(Joga Bonita). so all there is left to say is.........................................................FORZA ITALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! besides what about the Russian Mafia? they're like possibly more deadlier than the Italian Mafia.

I have not read any media stuff concerning the mafia yet...I can understand why some people may be against the Italians...when you hear about the Italian player/manager who threw himself out of a window trying to kill himself due to him using money to pay off winning and favoring their game. The reputation morale on & off the pitch is questionable....Good Luck to both France & Italy in the final

umm.. they actually put a lot more Italian generalizations before the Italy vs. germany game...
And I would just say that Germans still have a superiority complex, so they can't take the fact that another team defeated them.
However, I'll give them that if they had made it into the finals more than one news paper around the world would have said that the Nazi's had made it to the final...
Over all, I guess my answer is: people are just idiots, specially in the news, because they incite hatred among others..

Some people - even journalists - are idiots. In every country, not only Germany.
For the previous answerer with the England flag: the guy who jumped off the window wasn't involved in the Italian league scandal at all. Read the news. He was suffering from depression, though. And it was partly due to the scandal involving his team.

Germans were sure that they will win this world cup. A day before they played against Italy, German media was making fun about Italians. Now they are trying to call them names b/c they are jealous of them. Go Italy!!!

Germany are usually such... if they havent continued there stupidness how can they let italians to feel freat of victory,,,
it bit unfortunate if not italy would have scored 4 goals in the extra time.
