I like something A LOT and my friends all like something else. I havent told them i like it because i dont think its considered cool with them. I know i like it and i will always like it. Should i say "well, your opinion counts, but not so much that i will change what i like."? Should i just be myself and not worry too much about what they will think?

When it comes down to it, you only have to answer to yourself. Please don't feel badly expressing your opinion in fear that you won't be liked. Not to sound too cliche, but if these people are your real friends, they will like you no matter what. Honestly, I've always had a higher opinion and respected those that stood their ground and said what they truly felt. It takes a lot more courage to go though life standing by your convictions then just going with the crowd. I would say the only exception would be if your friends are just looking out for your wellfare and what you liked and they didn't was actually something dangerous or bad for you. If we are just talking about a person, a pair of jeans, a band or and activity I would say just be yourself. Good luck to you and I hope it works out!

Who cares what anyone else thinks ur life is not theirs to lead dont give something that u enjoy up just because they may not like it. Forget that if they cant accept you for who u are then they were not very good friends anyway. It is your life i say do what makes u happy and find people that either accept the things that u like or that actually enjoy them also. Dont change for no one but yourself cause in the end u are all that u are gonna have.

You should always be yourself, do things that your like as well as other things that your friends like as well. Changing yourself to suit others will never make you happy.
Maybe you could also invite a friend along to show them that whatever it is you like is not as boring as they might think.

Definitely be yourself. I, unfortunately, lost friends that way, but gained others that were more like me! Don't be fake just to have friends. And if they are your true friends, they'll accept your difference of opinion!

Just be yourself and like what you like, not what they like. It's okay to be different at times. I loved to be different from everyone else and still do because that makes me unique!

Nobody better, to be! You should be you, but when with them, eat what they eat, unless it's something you really refuse to eat, and it's in a resturant, in which case you can order what you want to. Then when you're with out them, eat what you want and like.

Be yourself, and dont try to change yourself for others, if you have to then they are not worth it, if they are your true friends, then they will accept you the way you are. if they dont, then they are not worth calling friends.
