Whether we are natured or nurtured depends on a variety of factors, our upbringing, the society we are brought up in,the value systems which shape us,the role models and parental figures we have had,as well as the mentality that determines us all.To be nurtured is to have a sense of value in this world,to have a sense of support from those whom have influenced our life.It is also about a choice we make.

Nature, assuming genetics, versus nurture, assumes environment, food, parenting, resources, or everything not genetic.
Twin studies are interesting here. Two twins separated at birth, raised differently who find each other later in life, only to greet each other in the same shirt. Theres something not so random about the coincidences that sounds like we dont give nature enough credit.

As with all other responses, its a complex interaction of nature and nurture which explains why we are the way we are.
Saw a fascinating documentary about identical twins - they scanned one pair in the womb - one of them had nearly all the womb space, while the other was squashed in a corner.
Guess what, even though they were genetically identical, the one with all the womb space was the more outgoing child - amazing!

Both. Natured based on what culture we belong to and nurtured based on how we were (or in some cases, weren't) raised as children (i.e. in a loving home, etc.).

It actually depends on who is raising you and how they are raising you. Nature decides a lot for us, but nurture can actually supercede a natural instinct and change it for the better.

Both. Genetics control part of who we are but so do environmental/social factors.

Both, but mostly products of our environment.
Genetics give us the raw materials.
Bad parenting does the rest.

Surely both.. Don't we have instincts as well as human desires learnt through society.
