AJ is a tough competitor with a knack for getting under virtually everyone's skin (ask that cheap-shot artist Michael Barrett). But considering that most guys that have ever had him as a teammate seem to like him, that's all that matters. He calls great games and is terrific at working with both veteran and younger pitchers. Heads-up player with just enough fire and controversy to make the sports talk radio host and columnists happy.
(And as an aside, it's a shame that he made the All-Star team over Pronk and Liriano. The catchers should be Mauer and Pronk, but that's the problem with fan voting - too much ballot stuffing, too much "big name" recognition, and not enough common sense.)

I agree with Kurt C. The Giants gave up Francisco Liriano AND Joe Nathan AND Boof Bonser for Pierzynski and he wore out his welcome in one year. Maybe everything is happy in Chicago, but I'm not a fan at all.

I don't like him at all. I hate the Whitesox and I think everyone of their fans are all bandwagon fans. Go Tribe.....Pronk not in the allstar game is a crime!

i hate him. its crazy that he made it to the all-star game when hafner was in the race. so much better than him.
