when i was young, this was 45 years ago, we had a wood cook stove (for the kitchen it had cast iron plates that lay over the fire, in case none of you have ever seen one, with a oven with water warming tank like on the walton,s)
anyway my brother was putting some wood into the stove and he had one of the hot plates up sort of behind him as he was putting in the wood , i came in not paying any attention and walked face first into the hot plate, burnt my whole face off,NOT, sorry had to do that, but i did get burnt pretty bad, but back then we had thing that could really do things they dont do now, i problely had 2nd degree burns on part of my cheek, but what ever my mon did it never scared.

I don't believe in comparing and I know a LOT of people have more horrible ordeals than mine. I'm very very lucky. My worst is this: I crashed my bike three years ago. At first it seemed like a straight forward (but severe) fracture of the lower arm. However, even with a plate and pins it never felt better. Doctors were starting to make me think I was crazy! No one seemed to believe me when I tried to tell them how bad it was. It took going to 4 doctors before the "best of the best" quickly discovered that one bone was longer than the other and all of the ligaments were torn. I've had 7 surgeries in the last 3 years (the last one was Wednesday) and I believe they've finally fixed the problem

That sounds pretty bad.

I've had quite a few, but I'd say that my worst was after my girlfriend at the time (and highschool sweetheart of 2 years, now happily my wife) broke up with me during my first year in college, I sorrowfully drank so much Sothern Comfort, Vodka, and Beer that night while going out to one of Providence's dance clubs, I was uncontrollably sick for the next 36 hours.

I did the drinking Thursday night, and didn't feel better (and couldn't eat or drink anything without throwing it back up) until Saturday morning at work - I was so thirsty I remember trying to open a can of pineapple juice with a pen... never had a more miserable experience drinking in my life (though I've foolishly come close a few other times).

I was rollerblading and fell down breaking my wrist and tearing a ligament in my thumb. My thumb never healed correctly so I had to have surgery to reconstruct the ligament using a graft from my foot. Then that surgery failed and I had to have another surgery to fuse the joint and then the metal was bothering me so I had to have a hardware removal surgery. I'm hoping that I'm done with the OR 'cuz orthopaedic surgery is super painful especially when they are messing around with the bone and drilling into it. All that from one stupid fall!

i changed into involuntary dedicated to a psychological wellbeing facility and placed on a ward with actively psychotic, manic, and/or delusional human beings. there changed into a variety of of screaming and crying and rage. I shared a room with 2 different women those who fell into this manner and each and every of the doorways were open, although the hallway not monitored properly. My one roommate sneaked out each and every of the time to make certain her "boyfriend." i fairly concept i changed into going to be raped, robbed or otherwise attacked. i did not choose that on real of my suicidal melancholy. when I did sense extra acceptable and went to the widely used ward, when you needed to heal, the worst section changed into song remedy. Shaking a tambourine to Bob Marley songs and that "do not difficulty be at liberty" with a room finished of loopy human beings changed into only a difficulty that I not in any respect may have considered in, not in any respect, ever; not in my wildest desires. As you will discover, because that song remedy changed into the worst, issues were given a lot a lot extra acceptable. issues are fairly reliable now. i look lower back at it and chuckle on the song remedy, yet undergo in ideas the psychotic ward and that i vow: not in any respect lower back. it really is been really a lot 8 years and so a techniques so reliable!

I shoved a needle filled with meth into my arm. for 10 years. and then i had to detox. i would have rather have broken every bone in my body or had something amputated instead of going through the seizures and psychosis of detox. i think that was pretty horrible even if i did it to myself.

I was running in my bamboo forest backyard, when I stepped on a bamboo shoot. I had to get three stitches on the ball of my foot.
