I think it would be a good marker for a person just getting into paintball. It is actually cheap for a paintball marker. The weakness's of the Tac-5 are I think the neck feed and I have heard that field stripping is not as easy it looks. Its strengths are it is accurate and its sturdy construction. If you buy this marker I would recommend upgrading to a new barrel, e-hopper, remote, stock, expansion chamber, compressed air. Hope this helps!

Every marker has its pros and cons, but for a $50 marker you shouldn't expect it to be all that great. Take a look at the PB Nation's forum below.

its a good gun for beginers but for about 30 more bucks you can get a tippmann 98 custom which is super reliable and a very "upgradeable" gun. I played with it for two years before i bought my ion. I never had any problems with it.
