space and time are real. space-time is four-dimensional. the universe is seen to be understandable only with the intermingling of space and time.

haven't you ever heard anyone quote "time is nature's way of keeping everything from happening all at once"?

space is only infinite because you could never possibly reach the end of it, and if you did where would you be! obviously time is man made cause i've never seen a huge clock just floating from the clouds, you? i don't think it was ever created as a restriction, more of a helpful unit of measurement. the fact that the earth rotates around the sun 365 and 1/4 days a years has been broken down through the years to more and more accurate measurements. time is important because we only have so much of it to make the best of. i say you have 8742 hours a year to govern your own life how you want to. it's helpful to plan an event, meet a friend, etc. it helps you do many things also. say i pull a lap on my bike at one min 33 sec. i can only go so fast on the straights -mostly the bike will top out. to get a faster time, i can learn from my time that some turns can be pushed more - the only place really to "shave" some time. maybe drop the lap time by 6 sec which probably doesn't sound like much but to me it's a hour!
i wouldn't want to think of trying to ever cook without the knowledge of time either, yikes! time has to exist though other wise we'd all live forever and every single thing would always remain the same, i wouldn't be writing this now and you wouldn't be reading it later.

well, the idea that time does not exist in space isn't exactly right- space more or less IS time; for example, when you're looking at the stars at night, you aren't seeing them as they are in "real time", or the time we are aware of, but as they were millions of years ago depending on how far the star is.
Yes, time is more or less a man made concept, though it continues to be part of the mystery of life. Most time systems began around the sun and the moon, and how they appeared in the sky. Here's an in depth page about time:

Hope this helps!

Space is darkness in a vacuum. I would say it is infinite. Time is man made, but everything does age. Eventually our own sun will burn out some time in the future.

time is relitive, it's only a concept that man uses to measure what ever, a tool, just like money, it's a concept.
