People will not like you, and you will not like other people. That is part of life, and you can't please everyone. My advice is to be yourself and have fun. Sometimes it is easy to loose yourself in high school with all the fads and peer pressure. I guess you could say that I was popular in high school and so I didn't have that hard of a time. I had some tuff times though. Fights with friends. Dealing with pressure. There will be times when you just break down and cry. However, now that I really look back on it, none of it really mattered. Let me clarify. High school is for learning and that is just what it is; a learning experience. Whether it be socially or acidemically. You will shape a good part of your adult personality in high school. When you get older, you will realize how petty, silly, and well....just a kid you were, and so don't take it too seriously. It's just a building block. And trust me, College is totally different. You start with a new slate. And you can use your experiences from high school to push yourself in the ditrection you want to go in. Also, don't listen to your brothers. They have no idea what kind of person you can and will be.

Brothers like to tease. In truth, high school can be intimidating for freshman. The best way to feel more comfortable is to join a club or sport. Get on the year book commitee. There are many creative and organizational jobs for all interests there. Getting good grades will help your confidence.

Above all else, get GRADES! Nothing matters like your grades. They are the key to the rest of your life. It is your marks that are examined by anyone you go to for work. They are the one biggest factor. And if you want to continue your education, they may determine if you can get into the school you want, or if you can get tuition help. And if you have low grades, it would mean that you don't know your high school material. That would set you back if you are going to college. How can you do advanced work if you haven't got a good foundation? Get GRADES!

your brothers are being mean. You didn't leave to many details..but if you are licked right know it will be a bout the same as it was in junior high....and by the way enjoy the next four years of school study hard and you'll get to where you want to be..and take up a sport if you already haven't. The most important thing is to be yourself.

I am going to High School too. And the best way for me to say that you'll find it easy is that you participate in extra-curricular activites. And also get involved in the community whether it's for a thing you love or for a charity. Oh ya I think I heard this on JOHN TESH RADIO SHOW 102.9 K-Lite FM, "Step down if you want to be respected". In other words show respect first to recieve it.

Why will people hate you? I don't really understand that. I do know that public schools are not fit for humans. My advice is go to a private school if you possibly can. Check into a religious school and see if you can attend one. If that is not possible maybe home schooling. If one of your parents are not available to home school, there may be a home school nearby that you could attend. Above all don't be scared.

Your brothers are just messing with you. Unless you are just a dislikable person. Do you have friends now? Do you get along with people? Don't worry about it. Just ride it out. High school will be over before you know it, and you will be on your way to living life with out all of those harassment's.!!

Just be yourself. What else can you do? If people are mean, just don't let it get to you. In 4 years you will never see them again. You only have to deal with them for 4 years out of your entire life. And remember, the rest of your life WILL NOT be like this unless you choose immature friends in the future.

Jr. High sucks. High school is much better, and college is the best. It gets better as you get older.
My advice--keep your mouth shut for the first few months, and concentrate on your grades. You will end up being social sooner or later, because you really can't avoid it in high school. 9th grade guys will still be brats, though, because guys take longer to grow up.

Life is pain. High school is part of life. You just have to resign yourself to the fact that you will be hated by some people, and that you will hate some people. My advice is to develope a thick skin to such things, because they will happen. They happen to everyone, absolutely everyone.
