If all governments were secular it may be cool.
Considering that Islama-Fascism is a permanent condition it is unreasonable.
Religion seems to be the only way to instill enough national pride/identity and Nationalism to protect a nations' borders and governmental integrity.
It was a miracle that the "Christian" Allies won WW2....against the Nazis, Italy and the Imperialist Japanese.
80% of the world was either conquered or under siege before Dec. 6th, 1941.
How did we win without without God?? I really would like to know ANY other possibility. I do not want to think that God, Himself, "helped" us win WW2......I want to think He is more "neutral" or "just curious".
If you or anyone can explain how we could be that LUCKY....when we got into the war SO LATE.....post it, please.
Or could the advantage be that we BELIEVED in God that gave us the "edge".......the "luck" ??
If it was only the BELIEF, the FAITH.....then our latest enemy has it hands-down.
We'll need to MATCH that enthusiasm and faith to compete with their motivation.
It may be a time where we all have to choose our "faiths".....not walk down the middle-of-the -road and get hit by both sides.
You have a good and idealistic desire, though.

Politics is strictly a force of the world's system as set up by man - God's system is built on love - not separation. Just love. Secular, religious, whatever the case may be - in the end, if we have not love - we have not God. None of the things of this world will matter anyway - The wise man, Solomon spoke it well when he said, none of this matters - none of it - who knows where the wind blows, or where it goes, what difference does it make for you to chase it, what does it matter for you to have riches, houses, land, slaves, money, gold - everything you want and still do not have the simple love of God in your heart that you are willing, able and desiring to do good unto all men - no hatred in you- what does it matter the political compass of this world - only loving God through his son, Christ Jesus matters.

Actually in the bible God talks about obeying the gov officials that have rule over you. LOL From what I've read, God doesn't view politics separate from religion. He actually thinks quite the opposite, that politics and religion go hand in hand. What He proposes is establishing a relationship with Christ as a means of facilitating change, but he's all for gov and religion being in the same group. LOL

Priest definite... they truly can not do some thing incorrect. Minister... nicely it really is yet another tale. they'd likely say some thing like "John 3:16!!!" and the voters would pull out their bibles, examine the verse, and be all "Hell yeah! i'm balloting for this guy/gal" isn't this "One united states of america less than God" so it would make experience for a guy of God to rule the country. Yeah... i am going to settle for my thumbs down now. That wasn't a superb argument.

He wants us to work for what we know to be right. He wants us to work for justice and equality and generally obey his commandments. This falls into politics, as well as everything else.
However, this does not mean the government should discriminate based on religion. He wants us each to have the choice of who, how, what, where, when and especially if we worship.
