What, if anything, do you wish had happened differently to help keep the friendship going?
And singles: did your relationship with any of your friends change after they got married?

once i got married immediately my Friends stopped calling me, i would always call them to hang out or talk but it was like they didn't want anything to do with me, now we talk once in a while but it really sucks i wish they would want to talk to me more, it gets kind of lonely without them, we have all been friends for 12 years so it was/ is a hard change to cope with

The relationship defiantly changed between me the single girl and my married friends. My situation is a little different because I was getting married after 6 years of dating and called it off and I don’t think my friends understand me anymore. But I have defiantly felt the change and I hate it. I hate that they seem to have know time for there friends any more and even before when the guys were there boyfriends they still made time to hang out with the girls but now it seems that all they want to do is run home clean the house and make dinner. Cant he fend for himself at least once a month or are you just that bored now handing out with your friends.

when ur married it changes a lot of things a women and a man has
to share there responcibilitys with each other depending who they have for friends as well some relationships differ how one does
things being married has a lot to do with things that you give up to be together. marrige is a peice of paper holding your vows being common law married is still the same but it don't have the papper to have it be. the only thing the paper protects your rights.

Yes, b/c single friends mostly think if ur married that they cant do anything anymore. No, u just have to explain to ur friends that just b/c ur married doesnt mean that u cant have any friends. U just have to compromise with the time and how to manage it for ur friends and ur husband.

YESSSSSS! Till they all got married. They still wanted to party and be single. I didn't so I waited for them to grow up a little and then we started hanging out again.

Yes, after they got married, and especially after kids, it's become harder to hang out together, they just never have time. But we still talk pretty often.
