Yes cut potatoes do work. Wash a potato then cut it in half, lay down close your eyes and let it work. I'm not sure what it does but the part you put on your eyes will turn almost black. You will feel alot better believe me

This sympton is called flash burns....you should go to the ER....they will do a visual acuity test....place some medication in your eyes for the pain and examine your eyes with a slit lamp....they will also give you antibiotic drops for your eyes so you donot get an infection.....they will also refer you to an Optholmatrist..if this is work related it will be covered under your workman comp carrier...good luck that injury is very painful....and from now on wear protective eye shields when welding

I have heard that you can cut potatoes in slices and hold them over your eyes...don't know if it works for sure, but I guess it would be worth a try. I am sure that hurts.

I've heard to place potato peels on your lids. Not sure if it works but you can always see your Dr.
