The Birkman personality profile is by far the best I have ever taken, but I'm not sure if they do individual clients or not.

There are test to determine the various styles a person displays. My experience has been that not just one test can do it but you must take a series of test. Each test is targeted at your personality traits and when brought together as a whole they paint a pretty detailed picture of your style(s). During a two year training program I participated in we took these and it helped not only me but also my employer in understanding how to deal with me effectively. I highly recommend these instruments to those that truly want to improve their ability to be effective in the workplace. The information is usually only good for about two years because of the influences and personal experiences we have, our thought process and how we communicate are always evolving. Good luck
