Has anyone tried it, and is it worth trying?

I would recommend it. I have been using it for 2 weeks and found that is't a lot better than the older version.

I've been using it for 2 weeks already. I think it is very intuitive and easy to use. I don't necessarily care for how they show you all your email contacts in the IM window but you can minimize the whole group if you wanted to. Overall I would recommend it.

I've tried it. It's pretty good and you have a lot more options that in the regular version.

It's okay - seems to be mainly cosmetic differences
