Because we're still stuck with all this fossil fuel sitting around and nothing useful to do with it.

There is an established Fossil Fuel power corruption out there. Just as an example, Exxon-Mobil does not make money unless you use fossil fuel. Exxon-Mobil has huge political pull. Also, keep in mind that the government profits from the sale of such items. Think of Gasoline. The government can make as much as 30 to 60 cents per gallon on this product. Lastly, people are afraid of change.

It's all about money and profit, we have years infront of us to wait for our dream to come true (at least a generation). forget about other types of fuel as long as there is fossil fuel to burn and billions and billions of Dollars involved.

What do you mean by "Hydro Fuel"? There are many possible definitions of that term.

did u mean fuel cells? hydrogen fuel?
If so, fuel cells are currently under research, it is a very expensive project, and already Toyota and GM are coming out with prototype hybrid versions.
