pregnancy Q&A.
The human body is elegantly designed. So complex, so efficient. The menstrual cycle succeeds beautifully in nurturing an egg for fertilization and development into a fetus, and, if fertilization doesn't happen, in cleansing your body and preparing it to start the cycle anew.

If an egg is fertilized, though, what happens? Does the menstrual cycle go away? When does it come back? Read on for answers to some common questions about menstruation and pregnancy. Of course, if you need to know more, you should ask an authority -- your gynecologist or obstetrician would be a good place to start.

* When during the menstrual cycle can I (or can't) get pregnant?
* You're most fertile at about the midpoint of your menstrual cycle. In a regular 28-day cycle, that would be about two weeks before your period starts. Of course, since most menstrual cycles aren't perfectly regular, it's kind of hard to predict this timing in real life. But the midpoint of the cycle is when an egg is released from one of your ovaries into one of your fallopian tubes, through which it travels toward your uterus. Right around this time, from just before the release of the egg to the time when it arrives in your uterus, is when you're most likely to get pregnant. You're least likely to get pregnant during menstruation, when the egg is being flushed from the body. Many women ask, Can I get pregnant during my period, and the answer is yes! It's important to remember that you can get pregnant anytime -- even during your period.

Doesn't sound like you had sex during ovulation since you did have a period. So most likely you are not pregnant.

The thing that concerns me is the odor and pain you talk about. These can be signs of a sexually transmitted disease. I would seek medical care and get some STD testing right away to rule that out.

It is very possible to be pregnant and have bleeding. There are many women who did not know they were pregnant for a long time because they continued to have bleeding. However I think you have a bigger concern to address... you mentioned an odor and back pain... both can be signs of a sexually transmitted diease. If you are pregnant a STD can be dangerous to the fetus. I would highly recommend you get checked for both pregnancy and STDS. Sex is not worth a gamble with your health. Unchecked STDs can lead to many problems with future chances of concieving. Please for your health get checked out sooner then later.

Yes! You usually ovulate 7 to 10 days from the FIRST day of your last period. But anything can happen. Get a pregnancy test soon. Good luck

Every woman can get pregnant even when they are in their period! Any woman can be pregnant any day if she is not protected! The thing is that you have less possibilities, that´s all! (according to a research I´ve made)

ofcourse not ----being pregnant indicates a ceasation of menstruation...if you are pregnant bby that time you already had a complete abortion coz a 3 day old embryo couldnt cling well at that moment.

chances are it will just come out as menstrual blood.

dont worry.
