Sweetheart....life is tough sometimes but you just have to be positive and look on the bright side. I know sometimes we dont get what we want when we want it but thats just how life works. Dont let things get you down honey. Smiling and laughing makes everything better. Smile at someone and they will smile back....smiling and laughing are VERY contagious....spread the happy.

This is how i see it. I believe that we are here to learn lessons.....lessons like....forgiveness, value, love, foolishness of anger and resentment etc. Its all continous learning. Your body is like a vehicle that carries the soul. When the vehicle grows old or is damaged in a severe or even accidental way and no longer works the soul leaves it. We choose when we come back. It all depends if you have learned the lessons or not. If you have not learned the lessons then you return....if you have then you might return to help others with their learning. We know when the time is up and you will be able to accept your death. When you have time, when you have had the time to rest and re-energize your soul, you are allowed to choose your re-entry back back into physical state. The soul never dies.....only our bodies do. The soul is immortal and lives on forever. If you are still interested...there is an excellent book that explains alot better than i do. It really makes you think. Its called....MANY LIVES MANY MASTERS by BRIAN L. WEISS, M.D.

Despair is a spirit akin to the spirit of hopelessness. Life does have meaning or you would not be here. Despair and hopelessness are atheistic in nature because they impart to the victim the idea that there is no God and that we have evolved by chance from a collection of amino acids into complex organisms. Despair and hopelessness can be cast out through accepting the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The love of God conquers all fears and dispel ls all the evil works of the devil. Despair can be a dangerous thing to harbor---it can lead to suicidal depression. The love of Christ will lead you to joy and life everlasting. Jesus loves you. Remember this every time that the devil assaults you with his wicked spirits of heavy emotions. Receive Jesus Christ into your heart and know the love of God.

The only way to combat despair and to realize that life is indeed meaningful, is to realize that you were created by a Holy God, and have a special purpose for being in the world. You are precious in the sight of God. He created you and wants you to live a happy and meaningful life. If you are not saved, I strongly urge you to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. We are all sinners in need of Salvation, which can only be purchaced thriugh your acceptance of Christ. The Bible says that whosover shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You have to accept Him into your heart. All humans are born with a God shaped void in their hearts that only God Himself is able to fill. Think about it. Riches can't bring you true joy and contentment. If they could, then all of these rich and successful people wouldn't be committing suicide. Human relationships can't fill the void, or they're wouldn't be such a high divorce rate. There is absolutely NOTHING that will bring you the true happiness and joy that having a relationship with the Lord will give you. No "high" is like "THE MOST HIGH." I will be praying for you. In the meantime, I pray that you will seek spiritual counsel from a church pastor. I reccomend any Bible believing, God honoring church that Preaches the Gospel of Christ. I attend a Baptist church myself. Read the Bible as well, believe it or not, it has the answer to every profound question there is. Best wishes.

I dealt with this question myself and it did drive me into a depression and unhappiness for quite sometime. but that sadness actually became the key to understanding a new idea of living in this world.

so you fight the despair with hobbies, personality, and carisma. it's the only way. if you are just a blob who sits around doing nothing then that is what life will give you. but if you get off your *** and exercise start looking better feeling better and enjoying your work and hobbies then suddenly happiness is found but not on the atomic level may have probably hoped. take what you can get.

The search for the "meaning" of life will inevitably lead one to some very uncomfortable conclusions. Neither poverty, misery, pain , nor wealth, happiness and joy come to us as rewards for our actions or punishments for our misdeeds. Trying to identify the causes for some misfortune will only lead to the conclusion that people don't deserve the hand that life deals them.

I urge you to Embrace the meaninglessness of it all. Understand that people hurt each other because they almost never want the same things at the same times. There is no great plan except for the one you devise for yourself. You cannot control other people in your life, but you CAN refuse to add to the suffering of others.

Make your own meaning of life.

Life always holds meaning. despair is the act of giving up and giving in to the wordly pressures all around you, it is a sin, and the wrong way to think. Read the legend of pandora's box, and remember the last thing that comes out of it, hope.

True meaning does not come from wondering if life has or has not true meaning.

You must create new meaning to life. You need to do something for others. Try not to concentrate on your own thoughts. Look beyond yourself.

If that does not work, contact a mental health professional, to make sure you are not coming down with a case of clinical depression.
