like everyone alse, toothpaste :) and for a nice glow get sugar and water, mix a lil and scrub on face gently, make sure u use it fast cuz the sugar will start to dissolve, and make sure to clean all of it especially if it gets on your hair. I sometimes put a lil salt too to do a lil cleaning.

lemon and salt scrub, it'll sting! keep it away from your eyes!wash face first then gently scrub face with a mixture of lemon and salt.
dab a dot of tooth paste on pimple(if the pimple is open then the toothpaste will form in to the scab and you'll have a toothpaste scab so only put it on unpopped zits.) i use a face buff puff 1-2 times a day with a acne cleanser and i find this help alot in keeping the pores of my skin inclogged meaning less chance of a
pimple forming.
a little tip is the more times you wash your fact the more oil your skin will produce causing pore blockage and pimples. wash face in am and pm. not sure what country you are in, but i live in Southern California and the USA and i go to walmart and buy their "Equate" brand of pimple cream and i think it works great.
even if yuou have oily skin use a light lotion for acne prone skin
so you do not end up with too dry skin. get noncomogenic(sp?)
that means it doesn't clog pores. most brands tell you this on the box. a washcloth soaked in hot water and then wrung out and applied to the pimple will help draw it to the surface to if can heal faster with treatment

I believe the best answer to your question is plain handsoap and water gently applied with a washcloth and scrubbed pink(not raw ) three times daily will make a great deal of difference in a normal case of acne.Always dry your face with a clean towel.
Oily skin can be caused by diet as well as other causes, and it is important to eliminate foods such as chocolate bars and chips fatty meats and such junk foods as much as possible.
Fresh fruit and vegetables can be substituted for such snacks.
Salt is also a good thing to be aware of ones intake of.
Most of us use far more salt than nessessary for our diet.
In hot climates however, salt is required in greater amounts.
Any painfull or serious lesions should be brought to the attention of a doctor, as it is important to be sure the condition is merely acne .If it is that serious it is wise to see a doctor for advice not an answer column in Yahoo.Cheer up it is only a temporary condition, and will abate with time.if you are faithful to wash regularly.
