Thats $25,000 for every man, woman, child and immigrant in the USA....Do we have to raise taxes or just file bankruptcy?

The USA will probably allways be in debt, it is nothing to worry about. The government pays the debt over a number of years and borrows only so much (anually) as to keep the debt at the same level. $8.4 trillion isnt an especially huge amount when you consider that the PPP of the USA is over $12 trillion. Their is no need to raise taxes to pay the debt. As long as the USA economy continues to grow we are OK. Competition from China and India could bankrupt the USA but thats a different issue.

The government needs to spend less money altogether. I'd suggest stopping the war because that's costing too much.

If we file bankruptcy Japanese banks would technically owe the US....in truth I do not think the ticker will ever hit $00000000.
