I'd throw away my vote on a minor candidate because both of these candidates bring obvious and (politically) fatal flaws to the Oval Office. Our next president has to have good ideas and the strong personality needed to survive in D.C.'s "cutthroat" atmosphere.

Good ideas, even if they don't have a really strong personality. As long as they know what they're doing, have the ideas and can follow them up, then they can accomplish what they wanted to do when they campaigned for President. However, if they only have a personality, but no ideas, they'd probably be idle in office, which isn't very good. A lot of people have strong personalities, but that doesn't mean they're fit to be the President of the United States.

I think me and the general public would go with the one with the strong personality. "Poor ideas," of course means ideas that don't go along with yours. But a president without a strong personality will be able to accomplish nothing.

Strong ideas. If they're the president, they're the ones that are going to lead hundred of millions of people. I don't care if he has a poor personality because chances are that most of us aren't going to know him. It's what's best for the country.

I would vote for the politician with strong ideas but a poor personality. Why does it matter if they're a good showman?
I think most Americans vote for the latter...the one who's more charismatic.

strong personality and poor ideas, cause it would be his advisers that are paid to come up with the good ideas!

strong ideas... clearly the people want strong personality (ex. Bush)...
the people don't keep up with politics to know the difference between CAFTA and NATO... so ideas don't matter to them...

number one. being a strong leader is more important than charisma.
number two. the majority of people would be taken in by a candidate who is more showman than statesman. "so what if he is clueless ?"

Probably number 1 because he can just tell his ideas to his workers and they'll do something about it. Everybody should pick the first one.
