It's gross and we don't want to hear about it.

LOL. If you guys want us to stop talking about our periods, then you guys need to stop picking your nose, scratching your nuts, belching at the table, farting and blaming it on the dog, peeing your name in the snow. Making fart noises with your underarms, rating your farts, spitting hockers, snuffing snot back into your throat, talking about your bowel issues, and you people need to stop with the brownies in underwear, and stop telling us how proud you are of you boogers!!

Women find it equally gross when you guys start tallking about the relative sizes of your you know whats. And what they can do with them, and with whom.

Generally, most girls don't talk about it openly except with other girls, it's a private issue.

Maybe you hear more about it because girls also feel the right to express themselves on certain subjects and because guys are so ignorant about what goes on when a girl gets her period.
Of course there are limits, I would not like to hear about the messy side of periods either.

Women like talking. They like the idea that you're listening. They want to share their whole world with you (and a period is a part of that).

So guess what? You're going to have to put up with it. Try to make sympathetic noises at all the right places.

Then tell her how it makes you feel to run track, or something that interests you and occupies your time. Good luck.

Have you voiced your opinion about the grossness to the women you've heard talk about it?

People in general have a right to talk about whatever they want, especially in this country (supposedly). You have a choice whether to listen or not.

It is a normal fact of our lives. It is not gross, it is the way our bodies work.

Do you think male ejacualtion is "gross"??

lol, I bet you don't! Women who are mature enough to live with men do not think so, either.

Men who are mature enough to live with women are able to discuss such things naturally.

We all have bodies. Get used to it.

Grow up.

I think it is ok to talk to other women about my period but I usually don't talk to guys about it unless they ask. It is kind of gross but we didn't ask to have them.

Nothing about women is gross. Women are sweet and beautiful, inside, and out. Learn to appreciate and enjoy the grosser things about women.

Probably for the same reason men compare bowel movements and have belching competitions. Women certainly aren't any more gross than men.

There has to be a degree of maturity and understanding the female body...the more maturity and information the less it will disturb you.Aside from THAT-it is all part of the female process!Suppose you get married and have three daughters and something happens to your wife (and their mother) and you were the only person to raise them...what are you going to tell them about periods, etc. ?

The fact that they talk it about means it's okay. I think you're just being a bit selfish. Just don't listen. And besides, how old are you? Nine? Come on man. It's time to grow up a bit.

Why do men think it's ok to talk about their one-night stands like it's some kind of a major accomplishment?
