Cut off all help/ interference from external sources and let them fight it over! They will eventually figure it is not worth it and learn how to live peacefully together. It is the external factors/help that prolongs this particular crisis.

The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel.

I don't think that anybody can come up with a solution. Since Israel became an independent nation a little over 50 years ago, the Palestinians and Israelis have been fighting over their biggest issue: religion. Each factor wants the same thing and both think that they are right. So, who's to say?

Palestinians should leave Israel alone and go to some where else , but i doubt any Arabic country will accept any Palestinians refugees , since they made every one hate them ( Kuwait , Syria , Lebanon etc ) they tried to ruin Lebanon and Syria by interfering with their government and law system till they got tired of them and kicked them out and stopped accepting any new refugees from Palestine , During the Gulf War, Israel was America’s staunch ally while Arafat and the Palestinians openly supported the aggressor, Saddam Hussein. so i will say Israel has to take all the land they deserve it more than the Palestinians

True story: I was in a band a couple years ago that met with a successful Hollywood producer in the penthouse of a hotel on Sunset Blvd. and we all got to talking about this issue. He was Jewish and has relatives in Israel. Three of the band members were Israeli. He said that the only way this conflict would ever end is to kill every Arab man, woman and child. My bandmates nodded their heads in agreement. It was a horrible feeling. These weren't radical extremists. These were highly educated, wealthy business people and artists. I don't think anything short of putting some happy juice in the drinking water can solve this, at least not in this lifetime.

First thing to remember - keep the UN out of it. These are sovereign states. Whatever happened to that? Are we a world now where the UN can just come in and tell people how THEY think it should be? What if the UN decided that the US is wrong for having capital punishment - should they be allowed to tell us what to do? Or what if they are in charge of our sons' or daughters' military unit... how would you like that? The UN ordering your children into battle? I dont think so. It has to work equally across the board and if it isnt good for the US, the UK or other first world countries, then we shouldn't push it on anyone else.

This is one crisis we need to stay OUT of.

There's a group called Combatants for Peace ( http://www.combatantsforpeace.org/ ) made up of Israeli soldiers and Palestinian militants who have the following beliefs:

* We no longer believe that the conflict can be resolved through violence.
* We believe that the blood shed will not end unless we act together to terminate the occupation and stop all forms of violence.
* We call for the establishment of a Palestinian State, alongside the State of Israel. The two states can exist in peace and security beside each other.
* We will use only non-violent means to achieve our goals and call for both societies to end violence.

Looking to the future, NOT THE PAST, is the only way to end this crisis.

Let Israel handle the problem their way, and stop interferring. The USA is holding back Israel from giving the terrorist state of palestine the butt kicking it deserves. We should let em loose and enjoy the show. I'll bring the popcorn, you bring the beer.

There is a simple solution to this compound question....Everyone is pissed at everyone else, (bad attitude....man!) What we need is a massive dose of California...Have the Armed Forces of the USA fly those great big transport planes in, bloated with; River Walker sandals, 501 Blue Jeans, Hanes color T-shirts, a Buzzalion Tootsie-Roll Suckers and 800 billion cases of OLD ENGLISH 800 Malt Liqueur (40ozers). Then all those guys and girls could dump the head rags and bath robes. All of them could kick back like California, listen to Gloria Gayner singing "I Will Surive!" and address each other as "Hey!,,,,,,Dude?" Works for me.... here.

TANKS,

- Turn the whole area over to an U.N. peacekeeping force of INTERNATIONAL composition. Palestinians and Arabs in general hate the U.S., and crowding Gaza, Ashkelon, Jerusalem and the West Bank with 30,000 yahoos on M1s, Humvees and M16s is certainly NOT going to help.
- Cut off all funding to both the lunatics on Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah and Fatah and to the other lunatics on the Israeli side. This includes the Iranians who fund islamic terrorists and suicide bombers and the yankees who give $4 billion per year in cash and armaments to the Israelis.
- Jerusalem as a whole should be ruled by a tripartite committee composed by Israelis, Arabs, and an outsider faction to mediate disputes. Tom Clancy portrayed a similar solution in one of his books: three jewish rabbis, three palestinian imams and three Catholic priests ruled the city.
- Put all the rednecks together and tell them to GET REAL. This includes Islamic imams who brainwash youngsters into believing that blowing themselves up inside a crowded bus will lead them to an eternity of sex with 72 virgins and the fanatic jews who believe that the whole land belongs to them because of a divine mandate.

I hope everyone understands that without the Bible or holy books Israel, which traces its root back to Abraham from Ur, is non-existent! Where is Ur?

About three years ago, I was privileged to have discussions with an Israeli rabbi, a savvy Israeli businessman and a British-raised Israeli, respectively, and was amazed at the differences in their various responses as to how the Israelites/Israelis came to claim their current territory. When the rabbi realized I was a biblical scholar, he alleged I was a Jew, regardless of my race and nationality (because I took him straight to the Holy book when he tried to go diplomatic on me); the British-raised Israeli only depended on the Balfour treaty; and my savvy businessman (with attitude like playboy Hefner) just wanted to forget Holy book, Balfour, etc. and be left alone to enjoy his life!

I guess Palestinians, remembering the origin of the Israel state - seeing the Koran, like the Bible and the Torah, also have accounts of Abraham and, yet, knowing the various Israelis views as to how they (Israelis) came to be in current territory, must consider the Israelis a very confused bunch; and therefore, find it justified in saying that Israel does not exist, since the Israelis are depending on man's law to state their claim! And, sadly, Israel does not exist outside the Holy books' record! Jerusalem, Israel, only came about by the accounts of the Holy books. (Go figure.)
