Usually check the fuel filter or fuel regulator if one exists on your model.

Filter ==just clogs and usage.
regulator ==rubber seals in regs usually wear out and eventually leak.

What kind of Cat diesel? Does it use a charge pump or just the injector pump? how do you know it is losing pressure?

It could be a multitude of things, from a cracked suction line, a faulty charge pump, worn injector pump, leaking at the injection lines or leaking injectors.

Is it not starting? running rough? belching smoke?

The more info we have the better the diagnosis and answers....
