I think it is OK to send flowers to a female friend on her birthday. Does she know you are only friends? If so, sounds good. On the note note just say, " Happy birthday, you are a great friend." Or something like that. Nothing suggestive. Hope that helps.

Of course its appropriate! I worked at a flower shop before and believe me people liked it and some didn't because flowers die withing 3 days. But its the thought that counts.

Flowers aren't only for emotional pleasure, it is a symbol of beauty and style, when you go to a sick person in a hospital and take flowers, will you be dating him? no, so it is meant to make the person feel comfort because of the perfection of theyr creation, it is the best to send these flowers to your friend

Yes it would be appropriate, just leave out the roses and get a nice mixed bouquet. They are always prettier and last longer. Not to mention cheaper, depending on the size of the bouquet.

yes, but dont send her red roses or really, roses at all. A nice mixed bouquet would really make her day.
