When I was little I tried so hard to be smart reading everything - i thought it would get me what i wanted in life - now that I'm grown it is a pain dealing with stupid people and stupid things they say - it hurts seeing why people are like they are and not being able to do anything about it - i think i would be happier stupid. who agrees??

I agree 100%. When telling someone what to do, it's like I have to do the action myself to get something done. I think it's that some people did the bare minimum in school and stopped there. And it's sad b/c some people could have been smart people but didn't try as hard as they should have.

I think a lot of people, especially teenagers who are in the popular crowd at their school, think being smart is uncool.

They laugh and make fun of kids who work hard enough to get good grades, when really, they are the ones who should be laughed at. The kid with good grades will go on to college and run the country, and the snobby popular kid who makes fun of him will work at McDonald's the rest of his life. How dare people make fun of such a hard worker looking to better himself, when they themselves are uneducated lowlifes?!

There is nothing wrong with being intelligent and those who make fun of it are clearly as unintelligent as you can get.

Noooo...it is better to be smarter. ; ) I remember how "smart" was not cool, especially in middle school, but it was probably from all the dumber kids that managed to make that trend happen. I realize now though that smarter is better, I would not want to be some of these idiots that exist in this world.

nope, you wouldnt, but on the same note, being smart doesnt get you much in this society, look at the prez. i fyou want to make a difference, go have as many children as you can, in hopes that your genes will spread and dominate the weaker, stupider genes.

I do not agree; you do not come across like you are "smart" at all, you have not learned tolerance; that is something that you cannot get from a book.
