I was a single Mother of 2 when I got my first apartment. I had nothing..I borrowed sleeping bags from a friend..Went to yard sales & thrift shops. You can find just about everything there. But I know how it is for you...I just made sure my kids had a something to sleep on...Paper plates & cups were what we used for awhile..I brought a microwave on sale and that was my oven. You can make with very little...It's hard ..but it can be done...Hotdogs & peanut butter sandwiches were all we ate until I could do better...Later on when I saved up some money and got a livingroom & bedroom set...It was used also. But it didn't matter to my kids because they knew Mommy was doing the best she could..You can do it...Just believe in yourself..

Do what my parents did and my best friends when they got married. Go to used furniture, consignment stores and buy the best used furniture that you can. I am just starting out again and turned down a free bed that is for a single person only for a queen size mattress set that I sleep on the floor with on sale for under $300. You will have to be very careful about unnecessary spending and keep your bills low. While I was in school, I did not have cable tv because I could not afford it. My tv is from the 70's and the only new piece of furniture is my recliner.

Look for a Yahoo! group called Freecycle. They have different ones for different areas and they're full of people trying to get rid of stuff they don't want and other people looking for stuff they need. I've seen all sorts of stuff on there from beds to cats to socks.
P.S. I'm not sure you meant $700/hr for two weeks, as that could earn you up to $56,000 in two weeks. :o) Good luck!

well i don't know where you are.. but our dollar stores in MI are great.. especially for kitchen stuff.. and little dodads for here and there.. This time of year furniture should be cheap and easy with garage sales.. and then if anything there is always Walmart and Target! =) But definetly hit dollars stores for kitchen stuff and nails and hammers.. and dish towels and kitchen utensils.
