I am not dissapointed at all. I am backing Italy to win the World Cup. The current national Italian team possesses a robust defense, attacking ability, and superb tacticality! And they displayed against Germany their world-class prowess and showed the world what they are capable of. France on the other hand has also come a long way. Zinedane Zidane has been a vital figure for les bleus and of course will be wishing to end his football career in style with a World Cup win; so he will very motivated. They are an old and ageing team but the fact that they are in the finals proves that their expereince has been invaluable and perhaps part of their success. The Italians will also be very motivated because especially after the match-fixing scandal that is happening at home, they will want to represent Italian football to compensate for the bad light that is being shun on them.

No. I couldn't be disappointed. I root for Italy and Italy is in the final. Plus, I think it will be an exciting game. Both teams are good, and they both woke up a little late in the tournament. That doesn't mean they don't deserve to be there, though. In a World Cup, winning is more important than playing beautifully and lose.
Colin_W: get over the Italy vs USA game, dude! You keep saying that Italy is a disappointing team because they couldn't beat the USA, even when the USA were a man down. I admit that that was the worst game Italy played as well as one of the worst in the whole tournament, and the red cards to both sides (Italy's was well deserved) didn't help at all. You are American, right? So, instead of complaining, be happy! That means that the USA weren't so bad after all ;-)

I am very disappointed that Italy and France are in the final. Personally, I thought that out of the final four teams, Germany deserved to go to the final above everyone else. They have a very clean game. Italy and Portugal are both quite manipulative and France has luck on their side. Hopefully, Germany will win the cup next time. Congratulations to Italy and France, though. They are both very talented and I'm sure that the final match will be amazing.

I will watch it. But I am very dissapointed. Italy couldnt even beat the United States with a man advantage for half the game. France couldnt couldnt beat Switzerland or Korea. Meanwhile, Germany and Portugal, coming into the semifinals, had won all their games. So I am very dissapointed, especially because I really dont like Italy's and France's style of play. Germany and Portugal are more exciting.

just more people that dont know the game, did any of you actually watch germany and italy?? was that not back and forth, italy put in 4 strikers in extra time. did u ever consider that both teams pushed so hard forward but couldnt get any great chances because of great individual defensive play?? no of course u didnt because u dont even know the game, dont know how to appreciated it...and i hope ur not calling italy cheaters, u obviously didnt see podolski diving everytime he got it, or the horrific diving attempts by the argentinians and portuguese..but i doubt u even watched these games, u dont know anything about soccer..and why would u want brazil in the final, they couldnt even get a shot on net til the last 10 minutes of the game against france..ya thats good offensive..and also italy created many more offensive chances against germany than argentina did...watch soccer and the world cup before u start critisizing teams

this year i would be hopin for brazil and portugal .....because these two countrys are constintly bickering and fighting about who would beat each other n i would jus love to see it go down france sucks n the italians are so cocky i think france and italy jus had a bit of luck on there side or sum money to pay the ref !! cough cough

I'm sad that Germany is not in the final in their country.
France played the best football and will win the world cup. That would have been nice to battle with Germany, but we have to defeat the cheaters...

i might particularly desire a France vs.Portugal very final in Euro'08. i desire a staggering very final no longer a run of the mill very final.i'm hoping Italy and Germany does no longer face one yet another on the appropriate by way of fact those team lack staggering soccer.

ima watch it and root for italy. but i thought brasil, england, or argentina would be in the world cup so i am alot disappointed!!! NOT A LITTLE! A LOT!!!

Yes, i thought the final would be between Brazil and Germany, and then Brazil would win. I was shocked when both teams lost
