Does Shadow count? Or do you count him as a stand alone since he has his own game???

Sonic & nobody else. The series should have always have been based on him. Tail is a great sidekick to Sonic but with additions of other characters like Knuckles & Amy, the feeling of originality is lost.

knuckles has to be the best. he is the cool version of sonic. and he can glide, which is way cooler than flying. and he has long hair. sonic has nothing on knuckles.
