If u love him then wait for him. Do not let ur friends dictate how u should live ur life, that's ur choice. Your bf seems to love u very much and he also seems quite committed to u if not he wouldn't have proposed to u. You need to be supportive of him and try to understand that inorder for ur relationship to work, it's gonna involve some give and take. In this instance, ur sacrificing 10 months which is a very long time and anything could happen between now and then which may test ur relationship. Girls who are interested in him may try to come between u guys and vice versa. So u really need to prepare urself and trust that u guys will remain faithful to each other cause at the end of the day if anything is to occur, that will depend on both u guys. So i would suggest that u always keep in touch and if the opportunity presents itself for u guys to see each other during that time, then make the best of it. Your boyfriend seems to be quite focused and he's willing to wait on u so if u love him and know that he's the one then wait cause i'm sure when ur friends find their special beaus and were undergoing the same situation, they would want all the support from u that they could get. So stay strong and do not allow them to influence to do anything that would jeaporadize ur relatioship with ur bf.

This really depends on your own maturity level, and the maturity of him as well. The VAST majority of relationships with a break that long, just do not do well in the long run... for a variety of reasons. People change over time... people find new interests... people become infatuated with other people... etc.
The fact is, if you think you don't need in-hand affection from anyone for 10 months, and neither does he, then maybe you CAN wait for him. I can't say you should, because should is a word that leaves no room for choice.

That truly depends on how secure your relationship is with him. The fact that you are asking total internet strangers to answer this question tells me: "Hell no." I'm not trying to be disrespectful here, but be realistic with yourself, and remember that your friends can usually see a situation you are in through untainted lenses. By this I mean that when we are in a situation (as in love) we are often blind to some of the little signals and red flags; only seeing the nice things we want to see.

Of course you should. I don't understand why you wouldn't. 10 months isn't that long to wait for someone to spend your WHOLE life with. What are you going to get over him, find someone else, fall in love, plan a wedding, and marry him in the next ten months?

No damn way! I mean if he expects you not to date then forget it. if you meet someone while hes away then oh well. But if you dont then be with him. i net a guy who i was head over hells for. U dont understand i mean wow! But he left for 5 months and i met someone else and when he got back i was like im sorry....Its just a chance u gotta take. now im happy & married to the man i met while my ex was away

if u realy love him but if u guys just meet in all and u dont know much about each other then.... well i dont know if u could talk to him for awhile while he is up there but then again he mite just find him somone ealse most guys think it is a game to c witch one can get the most girlfriends and get away withit u know but not trying to make u feel bad just trying to tell what i think but its your life your bf so u decide im just here to tell u what i think
