Usually, it's the Professor who suggest or assign one to you.

With alternative fuels rounding the corner fast, any project that will get you head-hunted will be good for you.

Would Information Systems cover inventing a thin film screen glued to the windshield of a car to inform the driver of pretty much anything? Speed indications, route directions, traffic problems, parking cameras, etc.?

Other projects could be third-world related. Low cost computer systems with modern production systems (someone has already brought out really really cheap laptops for low budgets, but they can be improved.) Systems to control irrigation in solar/wind powered environments.

Do something you are interested in otherwise you will not be motivated to do it really well & it will become a chore.
What have you enjoyed on your Batchelors course? Do a spider diagram of any ideas & write how you would undertake it. Then in September take it to your tutor & see what they think.
They are the best way to decide between some ideas but they can only give you generic ideas as they will not know what will suit you best.

Usually when you enter graduate study, ideas will develop by themselves after taking some courses. But if you really want to form some ideas going in, I would suggest that you Google the term "Web 2.0" and see if anything strikes your fancy.
