If you hate someone of an ethnic group that much I can understand why you would kill all the men off of that racial/ethnic group.... but why would you rape the women of that group? The children will still be partly of that race anyway and if they do grow up will probably seek to maintain an identity with their mothers.

Sure not all men are rapists, but surveys among men and youths have shown that significant minorities would take sex without consent if they could get away with it . That doesn't mean that men are hardwired that way, it means that they've taken on the attitude from society that sex is something that men do to women, and that women aren't important in their own right.
