If Congress passed a law giving "amnesty" to illegal aliens, should there be a provision that refunds all fees paid by legal aliens for Visas, background checks, etc.?

YES...and I say that because my husband is a legal US resident and we have had to pay out our butts to get him this far, and we are still going to have to pay to file more paperwork that is still needed to get his citizenship..I don't care where you are from...if you are illegal you should be made to pay like the rest of them

Hey! I was given Amnesty and believe me, it was NOT free. It cost my parents hundreds of dollars in fines to apply for residency. Offering Amnesty only gives you oppotunity to "get in line" not skip the line. Trust me, we waited, oh HOW we waiiiiiiiiiiiited. It merely pardons the illegal act of entering this country. The effort and money still have to be put in to continue to reside here. I was brought over when I was a baby and I have grown to be a productive resident of this country. I finished high school, went to college, even married a US soldier. And no, marrying a US citizen does nto give me automatic citizenship, I still have to go wait in line again and pay further fines and paperwork fees. And I will once I have the saved up for it. So don't tell me that illegal aliens get it free. I've been there. It is is not free. I am just happy that my parents wanted a better life for me and my sisters and we got. I am also appreciative that we were given the opportunity to get in line and make things right. It goes back to the old saying "would a man steal bread to feed his family?" Of course he would! And once he could he would have every intention of paying it back. Just like my mom and dad did.
