I think "reality" tv is here to stay, but there will be a
shift in what the premise of the shows will be.
There will be some sort of Cops, Wildest Chase
stuff for awhile, but I think the Bachelor(ette) Joe, Survivor,
Real World Road Rules Big Brother sutff is out. It takes more
than watching a group of people get eliminated over
a period of time.

There's always been some sort of
Star Search type contest show, and there's no end in
sight with So You Think You Can Dance/Sing/Act?

I am happy that Flava Flav is getting another season.

I think there will be more Celebrity family reality shows.
Surely there are more that want to outdo what the Osbournes started.

I love all of the dating reality shows, and could watch any episode of Next, Elimidate, Blind Date, etc. Hopefully those will continue to be part of late night tv.

I think they will continue to be popular because its human nature to be interested in the lives of others. Reality tv is less expensive to produce, so I'm sure there will be lots of willing investors vying for ratings for a long time.

I don't think so. Some old ones are losing their popularity... I don't hear as much about 'Survivor' anymore... but new reality shows just keep coming and coming. I love a few of them, I have to admit. I watch 'So You Think You Can Dance' all the time and 'Canada's Next Top Model'.

here's hoping. There're really not even "reality" (except maybe cops), I mean spoiled suburbanites rarely find themselves on tropical islands where they vote each other off.

Hopefully writers will turn their imaginations back on and start making good stories.

It's hard to say - there seem to be more of them, but they are getting more unrealistic, which sort of defeats the purpose.
