I transferred some old pictures onto fabric, but now I'm not sure where to begin to make a quilt.

If you are going to make a square block quilt, get out some graph paper and start designing away. Cut squares according to how big the quilt is going to be, but allow about 1/4" inch on each edge for sewing. Once you have all the squares cut, then row by row, gather up the squares in order, start sewing with a 1/4" seam...sew strips, then number each strip as to where it goes on the pattern...keep them in order ... once all the strips are sewn, then sew the strips together, matching all square corners. Now, you are ready to quilt away. Have a ball.
