I'm here and queer and no I'm not the only gay in my village but I have a friend who actually is!

I live in a small village with 600 inhabitants in France, I can't say I'm the only gay in the village because really, you can never be completely sure, but I am definitely the only "out" gay in the village.
I have to add, that despite being a strongly catholic country, I have NEVER encountered ANYONE that had a problem with me being Gay here, so long as I don't throw it in the faces nobody seems to care!!

Heck no, I'm not the only one - I live in San Francisco! :o)
Also, most people use the word "gay" as an adjective, as in "a gay man." I normally only see people who are trying to defame gay men and lesbians saying "a gay." I always try to say "a straight person" as well, so that I don't impose things on others that I am unwilling to follow.

I am constantly amazed by how many of my neighbours are gay. Okay, so strictly it's a suburb not a village, but there's definitely several of Dorothy's friends who aren't in Kansas any more.
