For roller coasters, I still love Cedar Point in Ohio.

For theme parks, I prefer Universal Studios. The rides are so fun, they have rollercoasters, too. A lot of it is indoors and air-conditioned. It's cheaper than Disney. And I even like their non-ride attractions.

Best bang? Cedar Point. More coasters than anywhere else in the world, they've been voted the best amusement park 8 years running. They have MANY record breaking coasters. They add a new awesome ride every year, they're not horribly expensive considering the amount of bang you get for your buck ($40 to get in). Kids are cheap- $10 until they hit 48".

They have 3 of the top 5 voted Steel Coasters in the world- #1 Millenium Force, #2 Top Thrill Dragster, & #4 Magnum.
The park was voted Best Value for 2006, as well.

It's located right on Lake Erie, on a peninsula, so it's surrounded on 3 sides by the Great Lake. There are 16 rollar coasters, the largest collection in the world. If you like spinning rides, you'll find loads of those. There's a water park, too. They lay claim to so many titles and records that it's mind boggling.

And, they're building already for the 2007 season. The newest attraction is top secret, though most speculate that it will be another coaster, and images of foundations and track are already available on different websites.

People travel from all over the world to see this park, and it's mega assortment of rides.

I have been to several, some of which include, Paramount’s Kings Island, Opryland USA, Busch Gardens Tampa, the now defunct Six Gun Territory, Indiana Beach (this is a small family run amusement park, this one does not compare to the big parks) and Disney World, and my opinion says the best in the US has to be Disney World.

I was surprised to read this at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cedar_Point
“Cedar Point has been voted "Best Amusement Park in the World" for 8 years running by Amusement Today newspaper (1999 - 2006).”

I have never been to Cedar Point, but I plan to at some time.

I LOVE Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. It's a beautiful place and the rides and attractions are a lot of fun. There's a great water park nearby, too (Water Country U.S.A., I think?).
