my boyfriend tells me he wants to get married and have kids everytime he has a few drinks and tells me how much he loves me and that he knows he doesnt tell me enough but he cant express his feelings like he should whats the deal

Alcohol gives us, "liquid courage". I say things more openly when I have had a few drinks, and am a lot less shy too. I say when I'm drinking, what I wish I could say, when I'm sober. People say they don't remember what they did, or said, when they were drinking . I disagree! They just don't have the courage to say it when they're sober. Your man is telling you what he wants......be happy! He wants YOU!

He's a man, honey! Men have trouble expressing themselves (it's their nature). I think alot of people find it's easier to say what's on their minds after a few drinks (I know I do and I'm a woman)! As long as he treats you good and shows in non-verbal ways that he loves you, I'm sure your relationship will flourish. Good luck to you!

Because when he has been drinking, he is not able to think about when you get married there are alot of things to think about, bills, a house, things like that. But at least you know that he does think about it, so he is headed in the right direction, eventually he will ask you when he hasn't been drinking. Good luck!

this is what is known as liquid courage,it makes guys and sometimes girls do/ say the stupidous things and is responsible for many unwanted pregnancies, etc. In courts this can be said to be under the influence. Nothing good has ever come from this type of courage

It's called liquid courage! For whatever reason guys have a hard time showing thier true emotions, you can tell if he really loves you by his actions, i learned the hard why i always wondered why ex's have never told me how they felt but did express in thier actions. It's different for us girls we like to express by words.

Most men wnat to show their feelings but we are bought up thinking this is not the "manly" way so we hide them, the alcohol helps us forget all that macho crap.

Its the lovey drunk... my bf is the same way, he gets so lovey
but he always remembers every single word that he says drunk or not, if it were me i wouldn't remember but it is probably his way of having the courage to tell you how he really feels.
