Don't girl-on-girl hate. Read up on girl-on-girl hate and it will be easy to spot in others--then you'll know who has the lowest self esteem around you. Remember that even though it seems clear as day the other kids are more sexually active than you, they're actually just really good liars and you don't need to catch up. Don't listen to people who tell you what you do now will affect the rest of your life--what the heck kind of burden are they trying to give you? Make a deal with your parents that you'll always tell them about what's going on in your life in exchange for them allowing you to be a completely different person every day--that way you can try on different identities until you find the one that feels right, and they don't have to worry about what they think they don't know. Stay away from alcohol. By the time you're my age at least 10 people in your class will die an alcohol-related death and many more will be raped after consuming too much--don't let it happen to you. And most importantly, have fun. Odds are you will, but you'll remember all of middle school as hell on earth anyway.

Ah, middle school. I remember those days. They really sucked. Anyway, my advice to someone just going into middle school would be to basically keep to yourself, don't try to get involved with other people's business, and don't get caught up in the rumors and drama. In middle school, I learned that the less you try to bring attention to yourself, the more people will like you. Strange how it works that way.
Also, don't worry too much about school work. I'm not saying you should blow off your classes, I'm just saying that you should not become obsessed with getting straight A's, because your grades in middle school really don't matter, and all that effort would be wasted. You wouldn't want to burn yourself out before high school, because that's when things really count. It may also help to get a hobby, or try learning something new, like a musical instrument or sport.
You're also going to be approaching the age when you will change a lot, physically (and probably mentally as well). Don't worry too much about the way you look. I spent my whole middle school life hating and fussing over the way I looked, and it really got me nowhere. Middle school is a stressful time when everyone is self-conscious and judgmental - that's just how it is. But keep in mind that it'll all be over in a few years, and by the time high school comes around, most of your classmates will have stopped being so immature and critical of each other.
Oh, and one more thing - don't have sex while you're in middle school. Seriously, that's just a bad idea.

1)in my school everything is about what clothes u wear.if u have a local mall shop there @ like aeropostale, american eagle, and hollister.
2)Never gossip even if it is fun.I have experianced gossip before, when ppl are hearing rumors about someone likes this guy or girl the rumor could lead up to u and the next thing u know the whole school could know u and that's not a good thing when it comes to gossip.
3) In middle school u have to do ur homework. for not doing any of it u could go to summer school.sometimes ppl don't go to summer school, they just end up being put back in the same grade with out making all the work up.
4)Don't ever be stupid. In some schools you can get expelled 4 being stupid.Because some teachers take things like that as a threat, and they right u up and u could get expelled or susspended.

Shame on the random guy. He really needs prayer!
Are you getting ready to go into middle school? It's not that bad. In fact I think it is more interesting the elementary since you have some choice in your classes, giving you some control over your destiny. Also you are not in the same class all day and so less likely to get bored. And then there are electives!
You have a lot to look forward to. Ignore flip people like the first person to answer this question, he just wanted extra points from Yahoo for being the first one to answer.
You will be fine. If you are nervous talk to your parents, that is what they are for. If you have any older brothers or sisters, talk to them, ask them the good and bad parts.
You will be fine.

Some things I wish I did do then, and some I wish I didn't. I left friends behind that weren't cool, that was a mistake. Cool comes and goes. Be friends with everyone, and every group. You are going to have to anyways in the workplace later in life. Have a positive attitude. Helpful people are drawn to that. You can do whatever you want in life, but you can't do it alone. Don't smoke or drink. If you do, you will have to give them up later and it is hard (and doesn't make you cool or accepted). Study and get good grades. You will need to be smart to make money. All the things that you think you will not need in your adult life, you will need. Math, history, typing, english, and spelling. Spelling is the most important, if you can't spell, you look ignorant. If you need help, get a tutor. And most of all, have fun. Laugh. Don't get caught up in the drama. Love your family, they are the only ones who go your whole life with you. Good Luck.

Recognize that it is a fleeting time in your life, but the decisions you make now could potentially affect you for the rest of your life. Enjoy youth. Take it lightheartedly. Know that this is not the end but the beginning. Focus instead on where you will be at 22 rather than where you are at 12.

My biggest tip for you would be to not let education go to the way side. Trust me ignoring your studies now that you are in middle school will only make them harder when you are in High School and even College. Keep your head up and realize that these years will be the most memorable and fun years of your young life.

Ignore mister/miss suicide above me. They're obviously not going anywhere in life and would like you to not go anywhere either.
Regarding school, just stay on task. Get your assignments as soon as possible and do them as soon as they're given so that you're never crunched on time and can just breeze through and enjoy life. Do your homework first before getting together with friends, and you'll never have to stay up late to finish something. Try to make bigger social plans for the weekends and save the weeks for study time. And above all else, respect yourself and don't allow anyone to bully you into something you're not comfortable doing...NO MATTER WHAT. It's your life and what you do with it will affect where you end up. :) Good luck.
