Yes humans are classified as primates.... we're at the top of the food chain, if that makes you feel any better. (On land anyway)

Violent, hairy, sweaty, loud, clusters in groups, multiple sex partners, carnivore... hmm... I'd say we fit the description of animals.
Why wouldn't we? Because we have souls?

If it is warm blooded and breaths air, then it is a mammal, which of course makes it an animal.
