Peter Beardsley. Whoever played alongside him always scored loads of goals. Gary Lineker has often said that's why he got so many for England. Peter the Great all the way.

Diego Armando Maradona
Simply amazing on the ball, He scored some wonder goals, and he was'nt afraid of a tackle either.
Diego would try things on the pitch that other footballers could only dream about doing, and that was after they had seen Maradona do it.
Small but dynamic he could beat teams single handedly, despite all attempts by opponents to kick him out of the game.
Never mind winning games by himself. Maradona virtually won the WORLD CUP in Mexico 86 single handedly, A Tournament that elevated Maradona into the Truly World Class catagory of players including Pele, Di Stefano, Puskas & Cruyff a very limited / select group of Mega-Stars

Pele. Without him, who knows what football would be today. He made the game. He was also a great person, as well as footballer. Plus, so far noone has really rivaled him as the best player. Maradona, a handful of other Brazilians (Rivelino, Jairzinho, etc), Eusebo, a few Germans, Frenchmen, and English men were possible candidates, with Maradona leading the way, but Pele was the best.

El Pibe, Carlos Valderrama. It was partly because of the hair, partly because of his ability as a playmaker and partly because of the passion he showed for the game.

George Best. When he was on the pitch, he was king.
The only player who came close was Pele.
