mine was threw paypal,if you use paypal and you get a email saying you have someone else using your account. and they ask for you bank infomation, do not open it send it to spoof@paypal.com and call paypal and let them know. mine was stolen from someone in Germany, i live in nc.I never thought it was something that could happen to me , but it did. fyi

It's called phishing (look it up on google for more details) it's pretty common just beware of any e-mails you get asking for personal information (bank account numbers, passwords etc) online companies won't ask you for this info through e-mails! Also check for misspelling, and links that don't lead to the actual site.

I used to get thpse type of emails a lot, and I didn't even use paypal. My best advice is to never, ever, ever communicate with a business through email unless you initiate the communication.

Depends on the person.
If you're network savvy it's a lot harder.
I was sent a spoofed ebay.com webpage asking for my username and pssword. It wasn't from ebay.com though so I gave them fake information.
If you check the URL, where the page came from, and verify it before sending information, you'll be okay..

mine was "borrowed" from someone in Tel Aviv. used my goods to open up a porn website.
