I'm a huge Queen fan and it's for that reason that I have never listened to any of the stuff with Paul Rodgers, it seems like a sin, I'm sure he's a very nice man but he ain't Freddie Mercury. Freddie was the heart and soul of Queen and I think that Brian and Roger really should have left well enough alone, but at least we always have our CD collections or some cassette and vinyl as the case is with me.
Rock on

Touring and recording with Paul Rodgers doesn't sound like a good idea. They should bring in that bloke that sang 'It's The Final Countdown'. He sound more like Freddie than Freddie himself. Or what about him with the yellow motorbike jacket that did 'Stars In Their Eyes'? He didn't resemble Freddie in the slightest (disappointingly), but certainly has that Freddie voice. By the way, who's the current bass player, in the absence of John Deacon? Perhaps they should bring in John Taylor (Duran Duran). Now there would be a gimmick!
If people want to see Queen with only two original members, then the show must go on. The Shadows have been doing it for decades.

Not only without Freddie Mercury but without John Deacon. Not a good idea at all. Brian May and Roger Taylor can ride on the wave of celebrity whenever they want and with who ever they want but change the bloody name.
Paul Rodgers (from the sixties band Free) is the current lead singer. Freddie was 50+ times better than him.

Yeah, I agree with you, Queen means Freddie!
I prefer to know Paul Rodgers (Of course he's amazing) as
a helping Queen singer. (Like George Michael or Elton John)
As Roger Taylor has said after FM tribute :"Freddie's shoes were as enormous,as no one could wear them!"

NO most lead singers would be difficult to replace but Freddie impossible his style is character, voice and prowess could never be matched and so anyone else would just be second best and that's no good

Yep this has been shown that it is great. It did work out wel with George Michael halfway nineties. With Five and Robbie Williams less. But with Paul Rodgers they did an actual tour and that was amazing I enjoyed it very much. I saw them 4 times on the European leg of their tour and I loved it. Paul did it in his own way and didn't try to imitate him, that was cool.
If you want recordings of this, just e-mail me and maybe I can sent you something.

It wouldn't be the same. Fred mArcury was passion on stage, he had a drive on stage that no one will ever have. they can hire a new singer, but part of the soul of Queen left this planet along Fred.
