To know the truth is to not believe in a lie. There are many who deceive and the truth is not in them. Use caution in your determination, for if when you find what you believe to be true, will you allow that understanding to affect your life or reject it and go on as before. If you do indeed reject the truth, the consequences will have eternal reprocussions if it was indeed true.

The ability to be honest with yourself is always a good place to start. By acknowledging that you don't know what you're looking for you presume that there is something to find.
Truth is relative. It's a concept. It's like, what that Supreme Court Justice or Senator said about pornography, (paraphrase) "I may not be able to explain it, but I know it when I see it!"
The truths that matter to you will become evident if you keep seeking. I truly believe that my truths and your truths share many things in common but in the final analysis they HAVE to be different. I'm not you and your not me.
Always beware of the obvious, and remember just because you know where something is not, doesn't mean you know where it is.

I think your question can only be answered in the context of knowing the there is no truth. Once you come to that, then there's a possiblity that anything or everything can be true, based on our definition (or our desires). That being so, truth becomes important because it defines our lives, who we are (if it's based on our definition, which is based on our desires). We are who we think we are. For example, it is widely rumored that Anne Frank (who wrote the famous Diary while in hiding from the Nazis) might still be alive today had she known while in a concentration camp that her parents were still alive. She had been told they were dead; for Anne, her parents' rumored death, though a lie, was the truth. Had she known they were alive, she might have survived, like so many others who had something to live for.

To begin, I am an amateur astronomer and astrophotographer, so God ( so to speak) and religion don't make much sense to me. I believe a great power or universal consciousness created the universe. I would like to know the truth ,so that if there is an afterlife, I would know the way to get there. I try to be the best person I can be, and be kind to humanity anyway, so if there is an afterlife, I hope I am going there.

I do not seek the truth, I have faith that the truth will come to me, if it dosen't than it was never meant to be known. I seek knowldge and wisdom. I find knowldge and wisdom by remaining dumb. The dumber I remain the smarter I become. The smarter I become the dumber I become. Learn from experience and from those who have experienced. Use reading and books as tools and entertainment. Trust noone but yourself and be most careful of him.. Good Luck

To live a more fulfilled and enriched life. I am in the process of doing that now after a bad break up and honestly, it's amazing what you find out about yourself and how the world sees you.

You just live life the best way you can..be honest, caring, loving and generous...and always count your blessings rather than dwell on you sorrows and know life is beautiful and we are so fortunate to be here today...as far as the truth goes, follow your heart, you will find it.

it is better to know the truth than to find out later that something was different. some truths are bad, yes, but the truth is better than a lie.
