Why are muslim terrorists never refered to as racist terrorists?

Surely the fact that they are muslim has nothing to do with it?
Read any news articlie and you will not see any of the 9/11 or 7/7 terrorists called racists. They are simply refered to as muslim terrorists.

If white people went and blew up a mosque then it would be reported as a racist attack... just seems a little unfair to me.

Please do not answer if you are just going to post a racist comment - I mean this as a serious question!

It's not a racist attack, it's an attack at the Country and it's government. It's obvious because even Muslims were killed in both attacks.

Terrorist always try to make a statement, the have a cause, hate crimes are just idiot who attack certain groups because they can't stand change or diversity.

The 9/11 7/7 terrorists want the Western world to stop stealing the wealth of the entire globe. Let us not forget about the super-rich arab nations, I guess they're poor, driving in their solid gold Mercs and visiting one of their many palaces!!

Now Northern Ireland, that was more discriminatory but because of religion, not race.

Good point, but the Muslim cowards kill anybody, including their own, and i think that's why they are not called racist.

If white people blew up a mosque there would be an out cry from around the world, and they would still blame the us for doing it, calling us racist, and the church's would condemn us, yet there so called religious leaders seem to back terrorists, not all, but those that don't, don't seen to do much to stop it.

If the Muslims hate us so much why don't they clear off back where they come from.
If the Muslims had any guts at all they would not hide away but fight man to man.

I personally would call this a terrorist attack. The biggest terrorist organisation on this planet is America and just like terrorists they say they are fighting for freedom and democracy.

it isn't about race, it's about belief systems. middle eastern terrorists see the West in general as the enemy, and specifically the U.S. as the largest enemy within the category (Israel/Palestine notwithstanding). if they blow up a building full of people, they aren't blowing up 'white people', they are blowing up Westerners. white/brown/black doesn't enter into it. the attack is motivated by ideology, not race.

if a mosque was blown up as collateral damage, and a white person was at the controls, i wouldn't term that 'racist'. however, if a group of gentleman in white robes and white pointy hats blows up a mosque and plops a big burning cross on the lawn then ... now you're talking racist - it's localized and the target is clearly a specific type of person in a specific community. if you have, say, an ELF terrorist that burns down a Hummer dealership that happens to be owned by a black man, there will be screams of 'racist' of course, although again the motivation is ideology and not race.

Because people of all races are harmed by terrorists. The attackers aren't against specific races. They are against a nation and it's way of life. If you take an African-American for example, they don't care about the African part. It's the American part that they want to kill.

Because they are fighting a Jihad, they are not attacking a race of people, they are attacking a civilization who are stealing their wealth and keeping them poor and forcing our beliefs on them. If a white person blew up a mosque, what would be his motivation? Revenge?

well, partly because Muslim is not a race, its a religion. In other words, it will ahve to be called religionist attacks, but that doesnt work either, since they are not attacking because of religion. So the name muslim terriost came up.
