Um, yah, now that I think about it. But Ariel was a fraud, she wasn't happy with who she was so she sold her voice to the wicked witch to be somebody else.

We would like to think it was her voice. But when he saw her, she was dressed in the floppy sail fragment that got rather tailored as the scene progressed.
And why does Ariel wear sea shells?
