Years of a teenager is the starting of the sex hormones really getting into effect.. Not all of us teens understand all the things that it takes to have a baby. When you are a teen, you probably thought you knew everything and thats when you start taking control of your own life. Also, when the female gets pregnant, her mind and mood changes and most believe that they cannot go on without their baby, so some end up keeping it.

The average age of first experiencing sexual intercourse in this country has dropped to between to teens ages 15-16. About half of the women asked have reported to being pressured into having sex. 89% of teenages have said that they have felt extreme pressue over relationships in school or with friends.

What this means is, teenagers feel that, based on the culture around them, that they must have sex - and they are doing it. The problem is, they're not ready for the ramifications and/or are in experienced, thus resulting in pregnancy.

why is it wrong that someone under 18 is getting pregnant, but 18/19 year olds getting pregnant isnt? i mean, mmost of them are still in school and living at home w/ their parents still. I say no one should get pregnant till at least 20 or 21.

they all think that the guy they're sleeping with is really in love with them when he's not so they let them hit it and then they get pregnant and then the guy leaves. then the process is repeated because they never learn their lesson. i know this one girl she has 2 kids from 2 different guys and she's under 16

They are foolish enough to believe that a guy has all these feelings for them so they don't need to use protection. They are also not educated on matters of sexual activity and the consequences.

Because society today is telling young girls that being a virgin and waiting until they are married before performing such activity is unacceptable when they can do it now and feel good.

girls are scared to talk to their parents about birthcontrol methods.I think parents should keep condoms in a drawer so if the child decides to have sex they won't get pregnant.but the parent shouldn't fuss when they see condoms are missing.I rather be safe then be a grandmother.

I've been teen mom for 22 years......

Here is what I'm hearing from moms

-It's cool
-I get lots of attention
-I'm going to get married (not)
-He has to stay with me now
-It was a accident
-My parents wont let me use birth control
-My friends have kids
