Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, true happiness is within. You cannot achieve it thru material wants and desires. You have to be comfortable with yourself, be true to yourself and be your own boss. When you do things examine your intent for doing them and know that mankind can never be perfect. You cannot control anyone's actions or re-actions but your own. Always remember that we all breathe so that makes no body better then any body else. No matter what your circumstances are you were meant to be here because you are here. You will have ups and downs but if you understand this cycle of life then you are on your way.

Dude, I have been around the world many times. I have had more jobs than you can shake a stick at. I am married to a wonderful wife and have two beautiful well behaved babies. I have time, money, health, good family, a red convertible, and a big big house. But you know, all that is so incomprehensibly worthless in comparison to Jesus Christ. Don't go to a church. No need to talk to a priest. Tell the Mormons to stop ringing your doorbell. Dude, just pray like you are talking to a friend. It helped me. And I am 100% convinced He can help you to. Believe, my friend. Believe. The Lord is with you; are with Him? - The Sandy Beach Bum

Everyone makes their own true happiness. What is mine is probably not yours. For example, I achieve true happiness whenever i look at my twin daughters sleeping peacefully - no cares or concerns. Pure peace in their 6 year-old worlds. And it gives me complete bliss and pride that these beauties are mine.

Happiness comes from "happenstance" and is achieved by some external force. I have not, nor do I seek "happiness." What I have is "joy." That comes from the inside and is there regardless of what is happening on the outside.

Most of the time it involves redefining what you think true happiness is.
The definition of that term has lots of meanings depending on the situation.
I find that if i dont set my expectations at some unreachable level, im happy way more often.

Yes.
I divorced my wife.
Then
I retired.
If that isn't true happiness, then I don't know what is!
