limewire is a fre peer to peer file sharing program, technically it is not illegal, however if you shre copyrighted material such as softwa, movies, or most commonly music, it is illegal, limewire was created though in repsonse to napster becomeing a pay site, which the government was able to do because napster operated on a server system which they were able to shut down, limewire however connects directly from one pc to another, so it makes tracking significantly harder, and one will rarely get busted, you can download the software for it at limewire.com, and the program doesnt take up much space, and it does save all files that you download directly to a folder on your pc, its pretty safe, and pretty simple, give it a whirl and see for yourself

Limewire is a file sharing program. I have only used it to download music, so I am not sure of its other uses. You can get the program by downloading the FREE version at www.limewire.com. After you have the program installed on your PC you can search and download songs right onto your pc or right into ITunes to save on your ipod. The songs don't take very much disk space. I am not sure about the logistics on illegal vs legal....I don't think it would be in operation if it was illegal. Hope this helps.
