As long as it isn't one of the single-hormone pills [like Micronor], that are usually prescribed for nursing mothers and must be taken at the exact same hour every day, it should have little or no effect in the pill's effectiveness in preventing pregnancy. That's if you take a pill each and every day; missed doses decrease the pill's effectiveness by about 5% per year of use.

I do that too. I've been taking the pill for 4 months now. I took my pill every day at 5. But then I started forgetting or getting lazy so I would take it between 5 and 7...You're supposed to take it every day at the same time for best results (in not getting pregnant) but it hasnt affected me. I don't think it's a big deal if you take the pill an hour or so late. But it probably is.

I was on the pill for nearly 18 years and I didn't take them exactly the same time every day and I didn't get pregnant. I took them each morning when I woke up, but that could be 7 a.m. to noon. Just get as close as possible to same time of day that you can. I never had a problem with them.

No it is not ok!!! You have to take at the same time everyday for it to be as effective as it is supposed to be. That is why I don't take it. When I did i got a watch that had an alarm or you could use your cell or something that went off everday at 4pm then i'd take it then. TAKE IT AT THE SAME TIME EVERYDAY!!!!!
