Because it is a sport, and God, according to the Bible, put animals on earth for our pleasures and needs. Animals do not go to heaven, and are not humans, and do not have a spirit, they have a soul like us. A soul is you, your emotions, your behavior, and all. But a spirt is a heavenly image of christ. Im only 13 and I understand it. If your pleasure though is to love animals, then God smiles on his creation. I know your only 10 and you probably dont understand. Youll age soon. Also if you dont, then go to church or read a bible.

Well, those animals you love kill each other all the time. Not with guns but by ripping and tearing prey apart with teeth and claws.
This attack usually happens after a long chase. The deer you love are are overpopulated to the point they are starving .

Your grandad is keeping animal populations down so they don't starve to death which is a horribly painful way to die. If he eats his quarry that is an added benefit to hunting. Do you oppose eating animals that are raised for "slaughter?" McDonalds, KFC?
At least your grandpa is helping nature- you are just acting "superior" and supporting the daily slaughtering of millions of animals every time you bite into a McNugget or wear leather shoes/belts.

Hunting has been around as long as animals and humans have been around. Manhood in MANY places on earth is measured by the way a man hunts animals. Your attitude would be considered "gay" by the rest of the world's standards.

I think grandpa should hit you with a rifle-butt and knock some sense into your public school system indoctrinated head.

Hey, don't aim that rifle at me! I agree with you. I can't stand hunting. Chances are your grandfather is hunting for the meat though ( I don't like that either but atleast it doesn't go to waste), if he is just hunting for fun and throwing the deer away then... He is a careless mother nature killer.

Hunting is natural and not cruel, but I personally would never do it because I can't kill. But I accept others going hunting because it is really an atavistic urge in mankind, as long as you eat the animal and it's done without cruelty. In China, they boil dogs and cats alive for their fur - that's cruel and sick and a symptom of real mental illness: no regard for life. (I even go fishing with my buddies but I read a book and chill while they fish - I can't even kill a fish!!).PS. I have grandchildren your age and discuss this same thing with them.

Well, because if you try hunting people for fun you'll go to jail for a long time.
