For something completely different, try listening to Xavier Naidoo. He's the most popular German artist at the moment & he sings in English as well as German. He also sings as a duo - they go under the name of Soehne Mannheims. His songs range from love songs to rap (with lots of different stuff inbetween). Well worth spending the time listening too - I've been listening to him all evening this evening - his stuff is so varied, you can't get bored with him.
